Tarek Abdel Aziz
Tarek Abdel Aziz, His professional career spans over fourteen years of experience, and senior leadership mainly in the oil and gas industry, Eng. Abdel Aziz started his career as electronics and communication engineer with Halliburton Energy Services; He held various positions of increasing responsibility in the Wireline logging tools operations in several countries including USA, Venezuela, Egypt and other locations. Eng. Abdel Aziz joined PICO Group in 2008 were he had been of a great exposure and a lot of added value. He was part of a lot of startups companies and Managing Projects within the Millions of Dollars range; in USA like “PICO Technologies llc”, and in Mexico “PICO México Servicios Petroleros, S. de R.L. de C.V.”, He was part of the team working on the tenders, negotiations and contracts to secure contracts in Mexico with Pemex. Eng. Abdel Aziz is the General Manager of PICO Technologies LLC, based in Houston, Texas since 2009. A research, development and manufacturing company handling several projects in the oil and gas including wireline logging tools, Building and coordinating building liftboat “PICO4” as well as Artificial PCP pumps. Now pushing the company to expand in the Services market in different other routes in the Oil and Gas. Eng. Abdel Aziz received his BS degree in electronics and communication engineering, Excellency with honors. He is a member of IEEE, SPE and also an associate in Project Management. He attended a lot of courses in finance, accounting and negotiation in Rice University.
Gerald Miles is Technical Manager at PICO Technologies LLC, based in Houston, Texas. His professional career spans over thirty-five years, primarily in logging tool design and development. Miles started his career in 1975 as an electronics engineer with Texaco Research & Development in Bellaire, TX. In 1979, he joined Halliburton to focus on developing electromagnetic logging tool technology. He held various positions of increasing responsibility at Halliburton until his retirement in 2003. Prior to joining PICO in 2008, he worked as an independent consultant for innovative logging tool manufacturers. Miles received his BS degree in electrical engineering, with honors (Summa Cum Laude), from Prairie View A& M University in Texas, in 1975. At the university level, he interned at Bell Labs and IBM technology centers, respectively. He is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board at Prairie View A & M University and is also a member of IEEE, SPE, and Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society. Miles has one granted patent and is listed on two pending patent applications.

With extensive experience in key positions at a number of state-owned foreign trade companies spanning the years from the late 1950s through the mid-1970s, in 1975 Kamel Diab turned his attention to the private sector. Realizing the potential of Egypt’s then newly-introduced economic liberalization policies, Kamel played a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for the group of companies that comprise PICO Group and the diverse industry footprint that they occupy today. While working in the public sector, Kamel held a number of top-level positions including General Manager at the International Trading Company from 1959-61, General Director of the Arab Foreign Trade Company from 1961 to 1966, and Chairman of the El Wadi Company for the Export of Agricultural Products between 1967 and 1972. During this time, Kamel was instrumental in developing foreign trade between Egypt and Asia (especially India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and China) as well as in improving the quality of Egyptian agricultural produce and significantly boosting exports to Western and Eastern Europe, East Asia, and the Arab world. Kamel holds a BSc in Agriculture from Cairo University, a BA in Law from Alexandria University and an MA in Management from the American University in Cairo.

Regarded as one of Egypt’s leading entrepreneurs, Salah Diab has been instrumental in the establishment of the Group’s Energy and Engineering activities, among many others. He started the first Egyptian petroleum services company in the mid-1970s and has been central in the development of the PICO Group companies in this sector ever since. Salah also played key roles in the inception of La Poire and PICO Investments, and in 2002 he ventured back into the publishing industry — where his grandfather, Tawfik Diab, was a renowned figure in the 1930s and 20s — to establish the leading independent Egyptian newspaper, Al Masry Al Youm. Salah holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Ain Shams University and is a board member of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association.

Tawfik Diab is the Board Memeber of PICO International Petroleum (PIP), the leading independent Egyptian exploration and Production Company with operations in Egypt, Mexico and Romania and an internationally recognized specialization in redeveloping mature fields. PIP is the largest locally headquartered E&P Company in Egypt with daily production in excess of 30,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Eng. Diab joined PIP in 2003 with a mandate to transform what at the time was a minor player in the Egyptian E&P market. Under his leadership, PIP has expanded its operations onshore and offshore to increase its reserves and production ten-fold, emerging as a leader in the redevelopment of oil and gas fields and winning concessions in both Mexico and Romania. Eng. Diab hold several other positions is other companies as The Chief Executive Officer for PICO Energy Services. he also represents the interest of PICO Group in several ventures including representation on the Board of Al Ahly for Development and Investments, and the Board of Cairo Financial Holding Co. ("CFH"), as well as being a member of many economic associations.
